About Alpha Security

History

The company was established by the owner Mr. Piet Moolman in August 1986.
His vision was to provide a comprehensive Security package in a format that will suit the client in terms of security and finances. Piet has always emphasized the aspect of quality above rapid expansion.
Early days were humble and during December 1986 Piet remembers monitoring 2 clients for R 90-00.

Mission Statement

To provide an effective security service by:

Advising and assisting the consumer during the purchase of security systems in the following areas: Kempton Park, Edenvale and The Greater
Installing security systems and providing technical support as backup
24 hour monitoring of alarm conditions at our monitoring centre.
Responding effectively to signals received in the Monitoring Centre.

Objectives

Reduce crime in the area of operation.
Participate in crime prevention programs.
Advise consumers of inferior products and/or "fly-by-night" security companies, to protect consumers against malpractices.
Educate consumers in crime related issues

Current Situation

The company currently employs 80 staff members and is presently a multi faced company which we will cover at a later stage.
We have in the region of 4400 clients and 21 response vehicles.
The installation company has three installation teams and three service technicians which are available on 24 hour call-out.
Piet and Eileen are still the main shareholders of the Company, and have since 1996 introduced Steve Dalgety as a minor shareholder.
Steve is the sales and marketing member.

Area Of Operation

The core business is operated in the Kempton Park district.
Due to request from satisfied clients in the Kempton Park and Benoni/Pomona and Bredell areas Alpha Security has extended its area of operation.
The philosophy is not to go beyond these areas at this stage as Piet is convinced that the Company will not be able to provide the fast and efficient service they do currently.
By operating in this area, and saturating it, price increases are kept to the absolute minimum.
When comparing prices Alpha will always be amongst the lowest, even with the smaller companies.
It will give you peace of mind, knowing we are offering low prices from a company which is financially stable and sound.
